The week before Valentine's Day was as busy as usual with a fun day on Thursday flying to Texas. The fruit trees were pruned completely due to Stephen's hard work.

Finishing up the fruit trees. |
Kathleen finished up her visiting teaching on Monday and taught seminary on Wednesday and Thursday. We are in 1 Kings and discussing Elijah the prophet. Some of the best stories in the Bible are centered in Elijah. Some great promises also. Then after Seminary on Thursday, we packed up, picked up Rebekah and Samuel and Mary Kozy took us to the airport. We were running late and Samuel barely made it since he had the first number to go into the plane. It took 4 hours to get to Dallas and we lost 2 hours due to time changes so it was dark when we landed. Dallas was lit up like a amusement park with lights around all the buildings. It was fun to see.

Leaving on a jet plane..... |
Friday we had a great time at Jon and Jenna's place. Elizabeth came by with her kids after Emeri's ballet lesson. Stephen played on the trampoline with the grandkids and they all had so much fun taking on their Granddad. That evening we went to the last basketball game for Isaac. Tami Heath and Katie & Mitchell and Colton came also. We also had pizza since a new store opened up with half price on all their pizzas. They also gave out shirts for free.
Saturday was busy fun with some shopping for some Valentine gifts for the kids. Fortunately there was some matching shirts and dresses that were clearance priced.

Valentine party by Rebekah |
|
Samuel helped Rebekah with the party. |
Kathleen also ordered some things online but they weren't going to be there on time. That night Rebekah planned a valentine's party for all the grandkid's (except Joshua- too little). Samuel helped her out. That left all the adult's free to go to dinner. We chose to go to the Bonefish Grill. The wait in line was 40 minutes so we went to a sports store for the boys. When we got back we were seated in a separate room which was nice but they pretty much forgot we were there. It took forever to get any food. We asked for bread several times and they finally gave us some water. The food was delicious but not sure it made up for the service.
By the time we got home, the kids were watching a movie and Rebekah looked very tired. The kids love her very much but it's hard work with a large group of young children.

Dinner out at the BoneFish Grill. |
Sunday church was at 8:30. We thought 9:00 was tough...lol. The speakers were excellent. Sunday School was nice and Relief Society was inspirational. After RS a sister came up to Rebekah and Kathleen and asked where in the Seattle area we lived. She said that she had lived in the 7th ward in Kent and she asked about several people, including the Smith's and Billie Atwood. She said she was a counselor in RS for Billie while they lived in Kent. It was fun to meet people in Texas that knew people where we lived.
We tried to play games every night but Elizabeth and Austin would fall asleep on the couchs before anything got started. We talked and played some together but mostly it was quiet conversation since the kids were all in bed.
